Nathan John Feuerstein (born March 30, 1991) is known as his initials NF (stylized as IF) is an American singer, rapper, songwriter and record producer. He has released two EPs, I'm Free (2012),[3 and an EP self-titled in 2014 in association with Capitol CMG. Mansion was his first album he released on major label. His second studio album, Therapy Session (April 22 and 23, 2016) was a top-selling album at 12 for the US Billboard 200. His albums have been recognized with many accolades. One of these includes the Gospel Music Association Dove Award, Rap/Hip Hop Album Of The Year (Therapy Session). In 2017, Perception became mainstream. It ranked at the top of the charts in the United States and was also certified platinum. While its third single "Let You Down" reached number 12 on U.S. charts, NF gained mainstream popularity in the year 2017. Billboard Hot 100 and a top ten hit in the world. The Search, his sequel to the album that became a hit, was also a commercial smash. Feuerstein declared that rap was for him a form of escape in his early years. Feuerstein would record songs using an karaoke machine. He recorded instrumentals as well as raps on one microphone. Feuerstein released Moments his debut album of his own on the 29th of November, 2010. On August 2, 2011, he released his first single "Alone". Brooke Griffith and Tommee Profitt were the producers and songwriters. Xist Music was attracted to Feuerstein's work in 2012. The artist released his first extended work, I'm free on May 2nd 2012. Profitt produced it. The album's tracklist included nine tracks, including "Alone". The EP also included an exclusive version of "Alone" featuring Sean Simmonds. Xist released a teaser for the release of their self-titled play, NF, but Feuerstein broke off from the label after a dispute and the release of NF was postponed. NF contained a track titled "Only One" featuring Shuree Williams in the compilation album Move Vol 1. On November 4, 2013, he released the single "Beautiful Addiction". Profitt was heard on the track, along with vocals by Brady Schmitz and Danielle Swift.
